In addition to teaching and coaching musicians, I work professionally as a guitarist, composer, arranger, and music director.

Over the past decade I’ve performed in a wide range of musical settings including live concerts, touring productions, recording sessions, private events, and collaborative studio work.

My approach as a performer reflects the same philosophy I bring to teaching: strong musicianship, deep listening, and the ability to adapt creatively in real time.

I’m available for professional work including live performance, recording sessions, music direction, touring work, and private events.

Live Performance & Private Events

Music has the power to transform important moments.

I regularly perform for private events, weddings, corporate gatherings, and special occasions, providing live guitar and full band performances that enhances the atmosphere without overwhelming it.

Performance formats can include:

• solo guitar performance
• duo or small ensemble arrangements
• cocktail hour music
• ceremony or reception music
• curated setlists tailored to the event

Styles commonly performed include jazz, pop, soul, rock, R&B, and contemporary instrumental music.

Each performance is customized to match the tone and energy of the event.

Studio & Session Guitar

I’m available for studio and remote session guitar work for artists, producers, and songwriters.

Session work may include:

• guitar recording for albums or singles
• arrangement development
• composition support
• tone design and part writing
• improvisational recording sessions

Because of my background in composition, improvisation, and harmony, I’m comfortable contributing both technically precise parts and creative musical ideas during the recording process.

Remote recording sessions are also available for artists working outside Chicago.

Touring Guitarist & Music Director

For touring artists and bands, I’m available as a touring guitarist or music director.

This work often involves:

• preparing and performing live setlists
• arranging parts for live ensembles
• coordinating rehearsals
• translating studio recordings into strong live performances
• maintaining musical consistency across tours and performances

My goal as a music director is always to help artists bring their musical vision to life while creating a cohesive and powerful live performance.

Musical Background

My professional work draws on years of performance, study, and collaboration with musicians across many styles.

I previously studied at Berklee College of Music, one of the world’s leading institutions for contemporary music performance and composition.

I currently continue my academic work at Northwestern University, where my research explores creativity, learning, and artistic development.

This background allows me to move comfortably between roles as a performer, composer, arranger, and musical collaborator.
